The Holiday season is upon us and projects are finishing up before winter break. Students wanting to enter the
Scholastic Art and Writing Awards need to register ASAP! Entries are due on December 20. Click on link to set up your account and make sure to follow all the guidelines. In Photo 5-6 students are finishing up the Self Portrait/Portraiture unit. Some terrific work being done. On December 11, we will have a presentation from Joe Maita about the Portland Jazz Festival collaborative project. Students will need to start working on that project to be ready to give their files to the Advanced Graphics class as soon as we return from break. We will continue with the Art and Music idea and work on making music videos. One of the 5-6 students, Cobi Rusch, will be teaching us how to make fantastic videos! I can't wait to be a student again.
The 3-4 classes are working still on the creative controls-motion and depth of field. They are getting all the technical skills of analog photography down so that they can pursue more content based projects in second semester.
